Arrival ARG

Arrival: Found In Translation is an ARG side-story to Denis Villeneuve's film, telling the story of the first linguist at the alien landing site, before Amy Adams's character arrived.

What happened to the first linguist?

Before Dr. Louise Banks arrived at the alien landing site in Montana, there was another linguist: Dr. Aaron Walker. But something went wrong inside the alien vessel, something he couldn't explain, and he had to be medically evacuated. In the months before the film's release, a Dropbox folder gradually filled with Walker's documents, photos, and videos as he tried to reconstruct what happened to him, and to decode a message that might change everything.

I designed and wrote the ARG experience: all in-fiction materials, the discovery structure, and the month-long investigation arc. A full archive lives at arrival-arg.tumblr.com.
